New member: Naihui Wang

Dr. Naihui Wang’s research focuses on palaeoproteomics, particularly ZooMS and zooarchaeology. With excavation experience at sites such as Hohle Fels and Sibudu, as well as her ongoing work on ZooMS analysis of faunal assemblages from Vogelherd Cave and several Palaeolithic caves in China, her expertise aligns well with GACT’s interdisciplinary mission. ZooMS can be a reliable biomolecular preservation proxy for cave deposits. Further projects with GACT are planned for 2025. As the head of the Archaeo and Palaeoproteomics Lab at the University of Tübingen and an advocate for international collaboration in archaeological sciences, Dr. Wang’s joining will make some contributions to GACT.
