Nihan D. Dagtas is a PhD candidate in the Department of Anatomy and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University, Israel, under the supervision of Dr. Viviane Slon. Her research focuses on enhancing sediment sampling strategies and methods for recovering ancient DNA from sediments. During her visit in Tübingen, she is working on a field kit designed to accelerate the screening of sediment samples for ancient DNA, facilitating more informed and efficient sampling. Her research is conducted with the guidance and support of Prof. Cosimo Posth and his team.
